Here are 15 capital projects at hospitals and health systems that were recently announced, started, changed or completed, beginning with the most recent.
1. Lubbock, Texas-based Covenant Health unveiled a capital improvement project called 'Keeping the Covenant' that is expected the cost $450 million and include renovations, new construction and technology upgrades.
2. Two hospitals in Baton Rouge, La. — Mary Bird Perkins-Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center and Woman's Hospital —announced plans to partner and build a breast and gynecologic cancer center.
3. San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center opened more than 100 registered nursing positions to staff its new 283-bed, $877 million inpatient facility, slated to open in December.
4. The governing board of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Fla.-based Lee Memorial Health System tentatively approved a plan to add 275 patient beds to Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, by 2020, a project that would cost roughly $315 million.

7. The Miami-Dade County Commission unanimously approved Miami-based Jackson Health System's agreement to expand westward with the construction of an outpatient center in Doral, Fla.
8. Children's Hospital in New Orleans proposed a $250 million expansion project that includes construction, renovation and preservation of the historic Marine Hospital building across the street.
9. Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., announced plans to replace its current emergency department with one that is twice as big — a $35 million project.

10. Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., broke ground on the largest part of its $200 million expansion project — a new, four-story patient and surgical tower.
